Epilepsy Support - Employment

In addition, seizures can have a devastating effect on Employment. If a seizure occurs on the job, many employers become worried about their liability, about your safety, about how your performance may be affected, or how much time you will need to take off from work for doctor appointments or to recover from an event. Even if you have been safe from seizures at work, many people fear that one will happen there, and wonder how it will affect their employer’s and co-workers’ perception of them. And, one issue that seizures and epilepsy impacts and that spans all areas of life is the need, in most states, to be seizure free for one year before driving.
